RAIN
Pest condition: Pests enter your home
Your home will be under attack by pests when the rainy season comes, including by pests that had never visited your home before. Since they scour for new shelters from rain, they usually invade your home in large numbers. Generally, rainy season pests include ants, crickets, American cockroach, spiders, wasps, and rats.

Why pests enter your home home:
The level of moisture and humidity cause them to reproduce rapidly that they need new sources of food and new habitat. They will search for drier locations, which is the inside of your home.

CONTINUOUS RAIN/ FLOODING
Pest condition: Ants and ground insects enter your home
Continous rain in a short period of time will flood the grounds and cause ants and other ground insects to move onto higher and drier grounds, especially in your home.

Other facts that need attention:

  • Ants can migrate their entire colony in one night.
  • Common areas that need special attention are hollow walls and areas around the house foundation.

DRY
Pest condition: Pests search for water source inside and around your home
Rain cause pest population to increase drastically. When summer or dry season comes around, they will start looking for water source or new habitats with higher humidity. The areas of your home where water is kept, like kitchen, bathroom, and ceiling become their new favourite spots. Pests who seek this opportunity are ants, ground insects, centipedes, milipedes, and spiders.

RAIN-DRY (TRANSITION PERIOD)
Pest condition: Pest population increase rapidly because of high humidity and warmth
Rain and heat that come alternately give pests an ideal condition. Readily available water sources and the complimenting warm temperature cause a massive rise in pest number and population, even rarely seen ones. During the transitional period, mosquitoes are the most common nuisance.
